«Set Back the Clock» with a Facelift at Our Tijuana Practice

A facelift is designed to minimize the effects of age, exposure to the sun, and the stresses of daily life that can be seen all over the face and neck. Creases form between the nose and mouth, skin loosens, and the jaw line grows slack, making you look years older than you actually are. Facelift surgery can’t stop the aging process, but it can improve these visible signs of aging by removing excess fat and tightening muscles.

The facelift procedure, performed at the Tijuana practice of Dr. Francisco Bucio, can rejuvenate your skin and make you look younger and fresher, enhancing your self confidence and overall appearance. Additionally, a facelift can be done alone or in combination with other procedures such as eyelid surgery or a nose reshaping.

The Facelift Procedure

Before facelift surgery, Dr. Bucio will conduct an overall evaluation of your face, including the skin and underlying bone structure. During this consultation, Dr. Bucio will discuss what you should expect before and after the surgery, and you will have the opportunity to make your goals clear and ask any questions you may have about your facelift procedure.

During the surgery, you will be under a local anesthetic. You will be awake, but your face will be numb and you will be insensitive to pain.

The facelift procedure begins with an incision, usually made along the hairline. Dr. Bucio then lifts and removes the excess skin. The remaining skin is smoothened, tightened, and secured. Depending on the condition of your skin and your desired results, facelift surgery could take up to five hours.

Temporary side effects include swelling, bruising, and slight discomfort, but these usually subside within a week of the surgery. Facelift surgery is performed at our Tijuana clinic, where Dr. Bucio and his staff maintain strict security measures. The comfort, safety, and satisfaction of our patients are our top priorities.
